Bonjour, Montréal

Living in one of Canada's major cities, it was interesting to see what it was like in the French-run city of Montreal. From Toronto, streets like Queen Street West most resembled those we saw at Sainte-Catherine Street. The area was completely decorated for the holiday season with wreathes, lights, and Christmas trees--it's still a month away but it got us feeling so festive! However, if we had to choose one, it had to be Old Montreal that won our hearts over. The cobblestone roads, old fashioned architecture, boutique stores and hipster cafes caught our eyes with its individuality. Still keeping chic, we decided to style our coats with scarves to keep our necks warm (it was windy and cold!) and comfortable shoes for the long walks.

Writings on the Wall

19:22 Unknown 0 Comments

For this shoot, we took a trip to one of Toronto's little gems: Graffiti alley. It's a down town alley covered in walls of colourful graffiti for a good 3 blocks. Definitely a hot spot for photos! Unluckily for us, it started pouring rain when we got there so we had to wait it out--but we think the puddles turned out to be a nice addition to the photos! :)
We decided to wear all black so that the walls would stand out.

Sweater Weather

18:58 Unknown 0 Comments

The best articles of clothing are versatile. I'm a lover of sweater dresses because they're so easy to dress up or down! Style it with pumps for that classy look, or pair it with boots and a backpack for a casual feminine look. And who can say no to showing a little leg, while still keeping yourself warm and cozy ;) Definitely the best of both worlds!

Autumn is all about the warm tones, vibrant colours, and of course, layering. What's not to love? It's definitely our favourite season :)

Behind the Seams 1: Fall Lookbook

During the shoot I curiously asked Lena if the dress had pockets, to which she answered ” yes!” I think dresses and skirts that have pockets are extremely modern looking. Take it from Karl Legerfeld designing Chanel’s Ready-To Wear Summer/Spring Collection 2013, or Christian Dior Fall Couture Fall 2014. Both have especially feminine silhouettes, while keeping in mind the 21st century lady’s needs for storage of their electronic gadgets.
